The Orange Shoulder Tang starts out its life as an attractive and bright yellow specimen, the Orange Shoulder Tang will lose it’s juvenile coloration around 2 to 4 inches in length and becomes a gray/green fish with a bright orange marking on the shoulder. Tends to get along with most other tangs with the exception of other Orange Shoulder Surgeons. Beneficial in helping pick at hair algae, the Orange Shoulder Surgeon will spend their day picking at rockwork and frequently in the sand as well in search for hair algae to eat.
We currently feed ours a diet of Sustainable Aquatics Hatchery Pellets, Nori, and a verity of frozen foods.
